Book Reading

After months of trying to find this book, the lawyer in my office picked up the phone and made a call to the good folks at Farafina and a lady just brought my copy of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's Half of a yellow sun.

Here's the thing: There is a book signing and interactive session on this book TODAY. If you are a fan, live in Lagos and want to attend, here are the details:

Venue: Bookworm Ltd. Unit 6 & 7 Eko Hotel Shopping Complex, Ajose Adeogun Street, VI

Time: From 5pm

I think it will be interesting.....

Funny the book signing had to take place after i left naija, just my luck right. Anywayz, have heard alot about the book. Would u by any way know if its available in Barnes and Nobles?

If I'm not mistaken, the book's author is not based in Nigeria (don't quote me); so yes the book IS in Barnes and Nobles (I'm sure...I checked online) and should be available in Canada. At least I coped my copy of Purple Hibiscus from a Borders' shelf...so Half of a yellow sun should be no different.

Happy new year!

I read purple hibiscus and that was really great ... I'll definitely check this out. I was at terra culture last week and the writer was there too but I didn't recognise her otherwise I'm sure to have hassled her quite a lot!

Any chance I can hit you up for some songs if you have them? 'Busy body', 'why me' and some song that goes, 'everybody move your body now, forget about the (something that sounds like good thing, groove thing???' ... all nigerian songs that I love! I would be so grateful! Email is vickii373@aol.com

Thanks ladies...I just started the book on the ride into work this morning. So far so good. I am sure Barnes & Noble and Borders will stock this for those in the US & Canada. Amazon.com is a good way to go as well.

@afrochic- thanks for the offer

@Vicki - LOL. Those would be songs by PSquare, Dbanj and Styl-Plus. I will send them to you today. Happy new year
