I need help badly. My daily schedule looks something like this: Wake up at 5am to head out of my house for 5.50 - 6am. Get back home anywhere from 10pm - 10.15pm. Saturdays involve catching some rest but bustling about to get errands done - hair, drycleaning etc. Then the social thing - and that's if i dont have to stop at the office. Sundays - church, some socializing but i try to rest as much as possible.
With that background in mind, a few months ago, i shared my weight struggles here. HOW DO I GET A WORKOUT/EXERCISE INTO MY LIFE. I workout on saturdays and sundays but honestly, for a past month, i have been too tired to do squat. I am just so tired all the time. Sometimes, getting out of bed is a struggle, the sight of the free weights in my room almost has me in tears.
Does anyone have any suggestions on exercises/workouts i can do during the week? A quick but effective workout - 20-30 minutes or even less that i can do at the end of the day? I have free weights and i am going to get a new set this weekend. I am also going to invest in an exercise ball this weekend as well. I just need ideas.

Sorry I'm a bumm don't exercise, I just diet.
BTW Snazzy was the one who told me u had posted 3 times today already! You're on fire madam!
p.s. I should actually exercise to keep fit (no sh*t) lol....can't be arsed xx
P.s. sorry u shdnt listen to me, I sound like the evil conscience of will smith in fresh prince....hehe
Would editing your diet be of assistance?
Vickii suggested a book, which I just bought and I like it. It's called Fit For Your Shape by Matt Roberts. It has 30 minute HOME workouts that are easy to follow... I like it.
I agree with Buki, a book is a good idea and the one she recommends is really good, the only problem is it only has 2 home work outs as it's supposed to help you learn how to work out in a gym. But you could alternate between the two workouts and it'll help you figure out the kind of stuff you should be doing at home.
Or you could look on amazon, I'm sure you'll find a book for home workouts. Or a fitness/dance video?
Uzo,
It aint easy, but u have to find time to squeeze it in...even if its only for 20-30 mins, 2-3 times during the week either before you go to work, or when u get back..wotever it takes, push ups, crunches, squats, jumpin jacks..doesnt matter..just do some form of excercise...and then ur sat/sun workouts....
little drops of water, make a mighty ocean
If you actually want to drop weight I recommend trying to insert little bits of cardio into your daily routine eg. taking stairs (if you have stairs at home try doing lunges up and down or skiping/alternating stairs), and my fave form of cardio that doesnt feel like it is dancing like no one is watching..hehe cos usually noone is and I can go totally crazy and just have fun(I like to do it while Im wearing heels cos I feel like my legs get an extra work out but I dont know if thats safe). Now, Im going to try and put my own tips into practise.
Damn gurl you got a hectic lifestyle. Well done. I would recommend running 20 mins a day every other day. All you need is a good pair of sneakers and you are all set...
If your office is in V/I, stop at Federal Palace Hotel on the way to work and use the TreadMill for about 20 mins each day. Or at Ikoyi Hotels if your office is in Ikoyi. People do that a lot and they have good showers (at least at Federal Palace)so you can shower down and dress up for work easily.
You can make the time (seeing that you leave so early to avoid traffice, you probably arrive very early at the office get straight into work).
Try a schedule of three times a week.
Oh... I like Gramps' suggestion... I guess it might be too early in the morning for you to run in you area but being indoors is always safe.
The exercise video idea is great too.
Excercise more than once and it goes hand in hand with you food u eat and the timing. fruits and vegetables are good snacks sounds like u are out a lot working. eat proper full meals like normal 3 times a day but snack in between meals and drink tea not coffee and snack on fuits peal them b4 so doesnt seem like a tough job when u are working. good luck
well,i'm a size 8 now but when i feel like i'm getting unfit, early in the morning just before i shower,i do 20 sit-ups and 20 crunches (for the upper and lower abdomen),then i do 10 lunges,10 squats and 10 push-ups for my arms. this all usually takes about 30 minutes.
this generall works for ur abs, hips, thighs, bum and arms.
u might want to increase the ratio to suit u :)
oh yea, let me give u a brief description of the arm exercise;
u sit on the edge of your bed, assuming its the normal height and not too low, hold on to the edge and slowly let yourself to the floor, and slowly raise yourself back.do ten straight at once, count 10 seconds, then do another ten. the whole point is to put your body weight on your upper arms, for those minutes.
its a simple exercise, that u can do just at anytime, ur near ur bed!
and tho it sounds simple,it worked for me!i started to see muscle definitions in my arms. (pls dont think of The Rock o,i mean,my arms looked defined!)
oh yea..keep your feet at angle 90 of course, not under you! i hope i described this well o, oh dear ...
exercise??? (scratching head in utter confusion)
I haven't talked to you in ages. Don't you love me anymore?????????
