Would you have guessed.....

That i am a huge Harry Potter fan? The last book in this phenomenal series is out on July 21st and i cant breathe. I am so excited. For Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, my brother pre-ordered it and when he received it, he sent it to me via DHL. Oh boy. When the movie - The Prisoner of Azkabhan came out, i left a retreat i was at in Lekki to rush to Silverbird to see the movie with a friend. He was amazed that i identified every single character and couldnt stop talking about the movie. He didnt enjoy it much i dont think. Anyway, why on earth i felt the need to discuss this on my blog, i have no idea. What i know is that i am mega excited and i anticipate that i will read The Order of the Phoenix & The Half Blood Prince to get me ready for the last book - The Deathly Hallows. I guess this means i will start reading in June. Those books are big.....

I was a crazy Harry Potter fan... I thought the first four books were fantastic!!!

Then I read order of the phoenix - there was a death, wasn't impressed, then half blood prince - she put a death at the end as well, wasn't impressed. I hope she makes this last book very good!

I queued up at midnight to get half blood prince!

I must admit the movies have disappointed me EVERY SINGLE TIME! I loved the books and then the movies removed some things that I felt made the books.

I look forward to the book coming out on the 21st of July BUT I will not queue up for it...LOL!

I'm the typical fox in Aesop's fable of The Fox and the Grapes. I pretend not to like Harry Potter but so far the only two books I read have been swell.

I see I've got a lot of catching up to do.

I am so with you on the whole Harry Potter thing! I can't wait for the new book but brace yourself because she's revealed that she's killed off two major characters.

It's funny because I didn't think they'd be my kind of books at all until a friend insisted I borrow the first one. He wasn't close enough that I could hang on to the book for a long time and I knew he'd be offended if I didn't read it so I didn't have a choice, but it's the best thing I've ever done! I am so in awe of that woman's imagination! Like you said, the books are huge but there is action in every single line!

Yay, I can't wait either!

Oh, I'm not keen on the movies but in my opinion movies of books are never as good as the book, the only exception being 'The Notebook' but that was a rubbish book! I only watch the harry potter films because it helps me picture creatures in the book that I'd otherwise struggle with like the deatheaters.

Ok I have to ask this - do you think Dumbledore is dead? Because I think (and I'm hoping) he replicated his soul like Voldermort did and it's in the phoenix. Remember how they said in order of the phoenix or was it half blood prince that he was looking much older and worn? I think that's when he did it.

Also do you believe Snape is evil? I dont quite know how it's possible but I dont believe it. Snape is GOOD. Or it must have been all part of Dumbledore's plan. It just has to be. I refuse to believe that Snape killed Dumbledore like that and that he's really dead. I REFUSE.

So yeah :-D Cant wait for the book as well :-D

I am a big Harry Potter fan too. Although I have never queued up at midnight to buy any of his books, I have read all of them but can only confess to watching only the first movie. I'm looking forward to the last book in the series coming out in July too and pray its someone evil that dies this time and not one of the good guys or Harry.
