hmmm I thought 'mmmbop' referenced an amount of time..
like in an mmmbop 'second' it's over, all gone..

Never got it although my best friend at the time LOVED the song - which i still think is very odd. It's like an 8 years old's song!

@Soul: Hmm. Not getting the time thing. LOL. But i will listen again. I still love it

I think that it's about the fact that we don't understand a lot of stuff, but hey it doesn't matter and life goes on, let's just have fun anyway. (Got that from the 'it's a secret, no-one knows', and 'can you tell me, you say you can but you don't know' or something).

Other than that I think it's just words thrown together.

It's fun song, really like it. Whatever happened to Hanson?

I think Soul is spot on, that 'Mmmbop' refers to a short period of time. This line from the song

In an Mmmbop they're gone

refers to the transience of most friendships, which is what the song is about and the reason it goes on to say that we should hang on to those friendships that mean something to us.

Hmm.. Uzo you got me curious about this and I just checked wikipedia. Soul and Patrice are correct.

Please, call me uncool or whatever but I love this song! It's just such a summer song and it always makes me smile. I 'heard' that mmmbop was on the backing track for a different song and then they realised that it was actually pretty great on it's own son they turned it into a song. So I guess it doesn't really mean anything.

Aha. Kudos to Soul and Patrice for cracking this. LOL. It actually makes sense now.

@ONG: I like Robin Thicke. U have never heard this song? LOL. Weird. Music for me doesnt always have to be intense. Fluffy songs like this one are nice too especially since it brings back so many memories of summer and friends.

@Naija Bloke: I got the help for embedding the music from DiamondHawk. LOL. I will try to remember what she said i needed to do
