Pachelbel - Canon

Its not news by now that i listen to all genres of music. My song choice for today isnt actually a song. Its more like a classical piece.

Some people might recognize it because its frequently played at weddings. Since i know that a lot of people are not familiar with classical music, a lot of the facts about this song might go over many heads. This piece is the most popular piece by Johann Pachelbel and was composed in 1680.

This piece is one of my favorite classical pieces so enjoy!

Nne, you slay me. I love classical music and I think this is one of the best pieces ever. I have goosebumps whenever I listen to it. It never gets old. (That's why it's classical).

BTW, another good one is Dance of the Blessed Spirits by Gluck.

ahhh Uzo,
You break my heart and do some of us a dis-service.
I dig this piece, it's beautiful.
re: classical music, in general Vivaldi and Rachmaninov somehow always seem to fit my mood. I love Rach's (yeah I think his my buddy lol) piano concertos and Vivaldi to me.. is like Hip hop of his day.. he was wild and open and free.. often dark (well not as dark as Verdi) but still and at times playful...

Uzo, you can't hold back on us like this. (smile).
I can't speak for everyone, but I like the fact that you leave 'facts' on music.. it invites other people to do so as well and leads to more knowledge gained on the piece...

Nice one :)
