Monumental Soundbyte - 93

Harry Belafonte - The Banana Boat Song (Day O)
Day Ooooooooooo, Day Ooooooooooooo, Daylight come back me wanna go home...
This is a traditional jamaican song but i first heard Harry's version and i have been in love ever since. Most people are also familiar with his version and Harry as a musician is usually associated with this song.
This song actually makes sense. Its about a bunch of dock workers loading and offloading bananas. The shift is over and they wanna go home.
Its a catchy calypso song and makes me smile everytime i hear it.....Enjoy
