The day before i took off on holiday, i was at work tidying up a few things. I noticed a slip of paper on a table next to me and out of curiosity and maybe boredom, i picked it up and read it and re-read it. I actually put the slip of paper in my laptop back because i so needed to share....So here goes:
The front reads: Overcoming Delay in Marriage with Pastor C....s O......i. National Stadium Surulere......
The back reads:
'The first marriage seminar i attended with Pastor C...s O....i was Activating the Grace to Marry on March 10th 2007. After the teaching, i proposed to a lady who also attended the seminar. She accepted the proposal and we have since concluded our marriage arrangements. We will be getting married on the 8th of September 2007' Brother C.O
'I have been experiencing disappointment before i attended a program titled Locating your Life Partner with Pastor C....s O....i on the 7th of April 2007. After the program, God visited me. I was sitting at the back of one of the new mass transit buses going home, when someone in the bus came to me and asked me if i would marry him. The man, who is a Nigerian lives in Germany and visited Nigeria. He said to me later that when he entered the bus, something told him that his wife was inside the bus. Though there were many ladies in the bus, he came to me and proposed marriage right inside the bus. The man said that when he saw me, he knew i was the one. Our marriage plans are on. I give God the glory for what he has done' Sister C.N
'The first time i attended a marriage seminar with Pastor C...s O.....i was on 11th August 2007 titled My Right Spouse?. Precisely 8 days after the programme, i got a marriage proposal right inside my house. And to the glory of God, the man is a believer just as i desire and marriage arrangements are on' Sister U.P
Knowledge is power! As you attend our programme on the 13th of October 2007, the Lord will also give you your own testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior.
What do you think?

what did u bring me bak from india???
dats just purely foolish..''Precisely 8 days after the programme, i got a marriage proposal right inside my house''...seriously?????!!! i hav to agree with 36Inches some pastors need to be shot! but oh well only God Knows who is servin Him....
what do i think
lol is what i think
chris oyakhilome lol
but God does wonders no matter where
hehe im fine dear
LOL...Its actually not Chris Oyakilome even though this pastor's first name is Chris
It sounds crazy and dumb to me, but hey, if it works for them and makes them happy, then I wish them luck. Different strokes. But the desperation for marriage - especially on the part of the 'sisters' - is really quite pathetic.
na wa ooo!
nigerians and marraige.
hiss!
I didn't think chicks were having it hard getting married in Nija. People from the States are trying to go home to find mates. If Nigerians in Nija are desperately seeking sotey them dey seek pastor's assistance, then what should the single and searching Nigerians abroad do?
Oh well, maybe they should save their airfare for something else...
I smell DANGER all over these testimonies. Were these people seeking God's face, or merely just God's hands? Were they asking God for the right timing, or merely just wanted to get married ASAP? They didn't even get confirmation...
and we certainly don't know if these stories are true...it may have happened to some, doesn't mean that's the same way it will happen to anyone else...
and the chick who received a proposal inside her house...na wa for that story o. Which kind of fake proposal be dat?
The truth is I don't believe these stories, and anyone looking for marriage this way is not really sure of what a marriage really entails...
Thats why you see people getting married just one month of meeting their partner and praising their pastor for making it possible.Churches have been turn to hunting joints and i heard people even go to redeemed camp for kurukere! My God is a patient one
When I speak on issues like this, I usually go overboard. Those mindless testimonies tell what kind of people they seek to attract. Church is often just business in Nigeria. I'll show you a script I wrote on that sometime.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK? I KNOW GOD WORKS MIRACLES, BUT ONE HAS TO BE CAREFUL WITH ALL THESE AMAZING STORIES BACK TO BACK. NO DOUBTS IN GOD BUT THERE ARE FALESE PROPHETS TOO.
GOOD TO HAVE U BACK.
Chris Okoti?
Back away from the pamphlet .... light a match beneath it, put it in the bin and step away..
Lolll - it's soo ludicrous, it's funny.
Wharrehell? Especially at No. 2! Did they make that stuff up?
Thanks for the comment on my blog hun Xxx
CARRY GO O.....
:D
lol!!
Nigerians in the state should look at men from other African countries...why we jus dey stick to our own no make any sense. A man from a different part of the world can love as deeply as any Nigerian man. That is all I am saying..abeg , let me carry go..
I've seen that unbelievable crap before. The most unforgettable one has to be the one of getting proposed to on the bus.
Can I shout Bullcrap?
Thats so much silliness really. When will they stop? Doubt if that is Chris Oyakhilome though. Its just silliness.
na wa o. who accepts proposals from strangers anyway is my question???
Totally bogus!
Not even biblical at all.
Thank you so much! That did the trick, you saved me more endless hours of searching for a fix.
