I am ecstatic now 'cos i went to the This Day media store where i get a lot of my books and saw a countdown to the new Harry Potter Book. So i asked the young lady behind the counter and she confirmed it.....The book will be simultaneously released here and i can even pre-order a copy to ensure i get my own copy that day....
London Buki, Noni Moss and Vickii - we shall be reading this together afterall....

Wow! That's really impressive!
Ok... so July 21st it is then. I have a race that morning but I'll pick up my book before the race o! LOL!!!
um right, though I don't forsee the long queues and the hogwarts parties on this end. Though I suppose i shouldn't be saying this to someone who skipped the inauguration of our current president to watch a harry potter movie :)
Never read any of the Potter series but seen a couple of the movies. I guess the books read better than the movies...they usually do.
lol i would've loved to join in but i thnk i only ever read the first potter book(and that was for my first year childrens literature class.. which rocked by the way cos i got read and analyze stuff like alice in wonderland, little children.. and many others)
@LB: Yup...Cant wait..just cant wait
@Snazzy: Not sure about the hogwarts parties and i am not sure i care...M just interested in getting my book and devouring it lovingly...
@ Laspapi: The books are so much better than the movies just because it would be so hard to GET all the elements that JK Rowling's mind throws out in words. But i think the movies have been getting better and i also cant wait for the 3rd movie which is out in July as well
Oh and about choosing Harry over the inauguration ceremony that seemed really really boring...I dont think there are any words necessary
Uzo, where the ThisDay media store? Been trying to find it - is it at The Palms?
In other news, you've been tagged over on the Bollyblog... and looking down I see that the last 3 letters of my word verification are... srk. Cool, huh?
Yay! I can't wait ... After our race, I am clearing my schedule and sitting at home in bed to read the book!!
Aren't Nigerians a bit funny about the whole Harry Potter witches/wizardry theme?
