Monumental Soundbyte - 68

Arrow - Hot, Hot, Hot

Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole - feeling hot, hot, hot.

I dare anyone to say they havent heard this song.

Its perfect for today as its a friday and makes me want to dance. This soca version was recorded in 1982 and is a worldwide hit. Soccer fans will remember it as the theme song for the 1986 World Cup in Mexico...

I think i first heard this song - let me see. My mom likes dance. She loves to dance and watch people dance. I mentioned when i did a post on Kofi Olomide's Loi that she has so so many DVD's of the man. Well, when we were younger, we had video tapes of various Carribean carnivals. And that was my introduction to this song and the work of Mighty Sparrow.

So happy friday and have a fun, blessed and safe weekend..

*PS: My women's issue post will be up on Monday....

I actually hate that song with a passion. I had a neighbour who used to play that song to death and that just put me off.. eternally.

On a lighter note, have a fab weekend. :-)
