I do like the soundtrack though, especially with the Beegees singing 'staying alive'.<BR/>I really must watch this moviesoulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06035447940907993185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34068008.post-31751603839758571042007-08-01T11:53:00.000-07:002007-08-01T11:53:00.000-07:00Fabulous soundtrack and definitely monumental. Fir...Fabulous soundtrack and definitely monumental. First time I saw SNF (was pretty young then) I was disappointed - I didn't get what all the fuss was about. A few years later, I caught it again and I definitely got it - it was all about that vibe, that confidence, that strut, that awareness, that style, that rebirth, all the underlying insecurities... it was all about disco. For me, the music was WAY better than the movie, and maybe that's because the music is so prominent in the movie - it captures the whole mood of the movie PERFECTLY. Even though it's not a musical in the strict sense of the word, it's IMPOSSIBLE to talk or even think about SNF without dwelling on the music - and that's what differentiates a good soundtrack from a monumental one. About the Bee Gees - your choice of adjective (talented) is spot on.Daddy's Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14679564351145843434noreply@blogger.com
